JOURNEY, a video mapping, draws inspiration from the renowned works of Nico Klopp, a Luxembourgish painter celebrated for his post-impressionist depictions of the Moselle region where he resided. Created for the Mosel Licht und Flammen festival 2022, this visually captivating piece was crafted entirely utilizing SMODE, a 3D real-time compositing tool. Additionally, Dalle-2, an AI image generator, played a pivotal role in the production process. It was employed to extrapolate variations from Klopp’s original paintings, enriching the visuals with additional textures to seamlessly fill the expansive projection space.
